Honoring a Legend and Embracing New Traditions<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cleveland, Ohio \u2013 Little Fish Records announced today that <\/span><\/span>Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S. Band <\/b><\/span><\/span>(aka The<\/span><\/span> P<\/b><\/span><\/span>eace<\/span><\/span>, L<\/b><\/span><\/span>ove<\/span><\/span>, U<\/b><\/span><\/span>nity<\/span><\/span> S<\/b><\/span><\/span>yndicate)<\/span><\/span> will be celebrating Bob Marley\u2019s Birthday at a special afternoon event on <\/span><\/span>Sunday, February 16, 2025<\/b><\/span><\/span> at the <\/span><\/span>Beachland Ballroom<\/b><\/span><\/span>, 15711 Waterloo Rd., Cleveland, OH 44110. Carlos Jones & the PLUS Band had been commemorating Bob Marley\u2019s birthday in February for 24 years at the Parkview Tavern in Cleveland. This smaller venue on Cleveland\u2019s near west side became legendary for its vibrant atmosphere, with people lining up outside for up to an hour just to experience the incredible vibe of \u201cThe Reggae Brunch.\u201d However, the 25<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> anniversary celebration was put on hold when Covid-19 hit, and eventually plans were scrapped due to health and safety reasons. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With respect to Norm Plonski, the owner of the Parkview, the group has decided not to use the same branding for this event. Instead, they chose to incorporate some of the elements that made the original event so special. Feeling it was time to move forward, they decided to create a new celebration at a larger venue; thus the Beachland Ballroom was selected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The festivities will commence with <\/span><\/span>DJ Bryan Watson<\/b><\/span><\/span> spinning some tunes to set the tone for the evening. Following this, there will be a special performance by \u201c<\/span><\/span>Ms. BBC & The Queens<\/b><\/span><\/span>\u201d, a vocal group comprising four talented female vocalists from various other groups that have come together to blend their unique talents. Additionally, the <\/span><\/span>Hue People<\/b><\/span><\/span> vocal group will join Carlos Jones & the PLUS Band on stage for several songs that is sure to elevate the sprit in the room! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Local vendors will be present, selling Jamaican themed merchandise, and Jamaican food will be provided by <\/span><\/span>Hooper Farms<\/b><\/span><\/span>, ensuring that the culinary experience is as exceptional as the musical performances.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
